Asking For Permission

We sent an email to the record label 'Cherry Tree Records' to seek permission to use Lady GaGas song in the back of our video, as it will not be used for anything other then our corse work and wont be published it should be okay. Below is a copy of the email we sent.
Although Lady GaGA is now with a different music label we did our research and she was with Cherry Tree Records when she released Beautiful Dirty Rich so we thought it would be best to contact those.

They have not replied as of yet- so we will follow up with maybe a phone call if we can find there number.

My name is Kirsty Shakespeare and I am currently studying A Level Media at the New Academy Wolverhampton, England. My course enables me and my team to create our own music video. We have decided we would like to use Lady Gaga's Beautiful Dirty Rich as the backing track to our video, however, copyright laws state we must seek permission from the record label. Video Concepts

After in depth analysis of the 'Beautiful Dirty Rich' video by Lady GaGa we have came to the conclusion that the meaning behind this video is almost mocking the idea of the 'famous for nothing' life style for example people like Paris Hilton who are classed as socialites- whom pride them selves in being rich and glamorous .
These who literally have money to burn , as Lady GaGa is seen in this video pretending to smoke money whilst its burning.

Money is no object to these people hence why she is burning and rolling in it.
'Daddy I'm so sorry I'm so s,s,sorry yeah we just like to party like to p,p,party yea" This is showing that Lady Gaga in the video is spending dads money rather then working and earning her own , there for she doesn't appreciate it similar to these famous people like Nichole Richy and Peaches Gedolf.

Also it shows that rich and famous people are not as 'prim and proper' as we may think they also have a 'filthy' side that is wild and love to party just as much as we do except they have money to waste on doing it big.
